This season the Varsity Blues hockey teams will be looking to run up the score on their new 4-sided scoreboard as they take another run at a CIS Championship. OES is thrilled to team up with the University of Toronto over the summer to take on another athletic facility upgrade. With our equipment already on Campus at the Goldring Rec Centre and Varsity Stadium, the University wanted to continue the trend at Varsity Arena.

Built in 1926, Varsity Arena is one of Canada’s oldest arenas located in the heart of downtown Toronto. Varsity Arena sits just over 4,100 patrons and is home to both the men’s and women’s University of Toronto Varsity Blues hockey teams.

OES had a very tight deadline to work with as summer camps worked out of the arena all summer long. There was only a five day period between the end of summer camps and the ice going in for Varsity tryouts to start up. OES’s motto of being fast, focused and flexible was highlighted and powered us through to finish this project on time. The University has received nothing but positive feedback from the new scoreboard before the season has even started. OES looks forward to building the relationship with the university for years to come.
