Grand Openings featuring OES Scoreboards.
Part of an agreement that will keep the College World Series in Omaha through at least 2035, TD Ameritrade Park Omaha officially opened in April when its primary tenant, the Creighton Blue Jays, fell to Nebraska in front of a sellout crowd of approximately 22,000. A magnificent 56 foot custom scoreboard by OES Scoreboards was part of the $131 million stadium which features an open, 360-degree concourse with a large Fanfest gathering area. The scoreboard illuminates inning/inning information with industry premium white outdoor LED digits.
Home to MLS’s Portland Timbers and the Portland State University football team, Jeld-Wen Field (formerly known as PGE Park) reopened in April after a $31 million renovation. Additions include 8,000 new permanent seats, acoustical enhancements to maximize crowd noise; along with two custom 20 ft x 5 ft scoreboards to fit into their main display video structure, and a custom designed multi-sport auxiliary scoreboard all by OES. The stadium, originally built in 1926, is expected to host approximately 250 events annually.
